OF COURSE THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE SHALLOW AND I DO NOT WANT THEM
INVOLVED IN MY LIFE ANYWAY.
BUT NOT TOO AWFULLY LONG AGO AND CONTINUED INTO THIS VERY DAY, I HAVE HAD TO FIGHT TO KEEP MY SON, WHOM I AM EXTREMELY PROUD OF.
THE FATHER LIED TO THE AUTHORITIES WHOM WERE FRIENDS OF HIS FAMILY,
FORCED ME TO JUMP THROUGH LEGAL AND EMOTIONAL HOOPS.
NOW THAT I AM ON TOP OF THE SITUATION, I AM STRUGGLING TO STAY IN THE
MIDDLE CLASS AS A CITIZEN OF FLORIDA. I WORK HARD TO PUT THE ROOF OVER
MY SON'S HEAD AND GIVE HIM WHATEVER HE NEEDS.
I TAKE MY RESPONSIBLITIES SERIOUSLY AND EVEN THOUGH I MAY GO OUT AND RELAX EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, I ONLY DO SO TO DETOX FROM ALL THE STRESS
JUST SO I CAN RETURN TO THE LONG TO-DO LIST THAT I HAVE ACQUIRED.

AND RE-EVALUATE THIER OWN GOALS IN LIFE.

I AM SORRY FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS WITH FRIENDS AND FOES AND RIGHT NOW I AM AT A POINT THAT I ONLY WANT PEOPLE TO THINK RIGHT OF ME.
IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO TO CHANGE THE WRONGS THEN BE MATURE ENOUGH TO LET ME KNOW.

It was very difficult for me to write these past two articles. How can anyone not see how much pain this young woman had endured. Some people can express themselves better in writing than they can in person. Melinda was such a person.
There are women out there today, who are suffering domestic violence, and the silent kind of violence where the husband uses her children to control her. Calling DCF 5 times, everytime Josh was "mad with Melinda" was abuse. Telling lies to defame her character was abuse. But using DCF to abuse Trenton was the ultimate. How could a father call DCF to have them take the child away from a loving home under the pretense that Trenton was dangled over water, had a knife put to his leg, or whatever other lie he could come up with. You know what that was? That was using DCF to become the abuser. Taking a happy child from a happy home. Revengeful people do it every day. They use DCF and the courts - THE SYSTEM - TO CARRY ON THEIR CONTROL.
Look at how Josh used the media to further destroy Melinda's character. How he played the police. How all the false information was spoonfed to the Nancy Grace producers. Why? All to continue to abuse Melinda, now her memory - to keep control.
Josh has another son now. This son he hardly has any contact with over the past two years. But because the mother was awarded child support, he decides it's not want HE wants to do. Why should HE PAY? So he uses the SYSTEM NOT SO HE CAN SEE HIS CHILD MORE, BUT SO HE DOESN'T HAVE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT. HE TOLD THE MOTHER HE WANTS THE CHILD 1/2 of every week. (I"m sure he wouldn't want him on the week end) Who would watch this child? His mother and his girlfriend. I have pictures of him holding his new son, his girlfriend's daughter and his niece. NONE of the children look happy. In fact, his son is screaming crying. He told the new mother "He'll just have to get used to me" when the time comes. She wanted him to visit with the child over a period of time just in case. Josh didn't want that.
He only pays weekly $50+ which he hasn't paid a dime since Sept 27, 2009. What does THAT tell you.
Yet he spends his time with his bike and mud trucks.
Josh stated to the press that he didn't want Nancy Grace's tape leaked to the public because it would become a three ring circus.
Josh Duckett is the ringmaster in the center ring. I can't wait until the fat lady sings.
I think that people who file malicious allegations with CPS need to do jail time. We need to do everything we can to discourage this type of behavior.
Josh should also have his wages garnished to reimburse (sp?) the taxpayers as well. We paid for his nonsense too.
Do you know if there are still corporations that are sponsoring this so called "Team Trenton" car that I saw a pic of somewhere?? The situation with his new unfortunate son (victim)sounds like deja vu all over again. Doesn't see his kid, doesn't want to pay, so claims he wants the kid. This young girl better watch herself, she may not know what she is in store for with this crew. It is obvious Carla / Josh hated Melinda more than they love Trenton. Something else curious...all of the Duckett names have been linked with drug abuse, but if I am not mistaken Melinda's autopsy showed no illegal substances in her system. Maybe you can help with this also...is it true the chief of police is friends with a Kevin Duckett, drug abuser? Just curious.....I really think you are right and the police dept. is somehow covering their a**es by not pursuing their friends. On a more conspiratorial level...maybe there is a deeper connection between the chief and this guy that could not be revealed under any circumstances even if it meant not investigating the real criminals for fear the connection be revealed (i.e. drug smuggling, trafficking something of that sort??)

The Kevin Duckett you mentioned, I think you mean Kevin Massaro, Carla's estranged husband. He's a cocaine abuser and has a record in Marion County. He has not lived, afaik, with Carla since December 2005. Carla has been living with her friend's son, Jason Fort, since that time.
Jason accompanied Carla and Josh to a number of DCF court hearings. Jason and Carla both drove to the home of Melinda's Aunt Kathy and asked her not to sue CNN. They talked for several hours and came back the next day. They also came to scope out my house here in Ocala, FL.
So when Josh says he was home with his parents, he was home with Carla and 27 year old Jason Fort (who btw is at least 6ft 6 inches tall). Neither one was polygraphed. They are Josh's alibi for the night Trenton went missing. They are also Josh's alibi for when the myspace threatening email was sent.
As far as the young new mother is concerned, Carla sent a private eye friend of hers "Merv" to the young mother's father's work to ask him if the young girl had any "mental issues" or history of mental issues. Dejavu.
As far as the police, there is a rumor that "dirty cops" are involved.
This brings to mind how James Duckett was set up. The then Noel Griffin Jr, who was the Sheriff of Lake County picked James as his subject and built his case around it to advance his political career. (Noted in the book "The Truth Shall Set Him Free). Noel has two sons, one is Noel Griffin III who holds a high office in the FDLE in Jacksonville. The other son is Monte Griffin, who was charged with helping drug traffickers by flying planes for them. Monte is/was with the Wildwood police. Rich Giles the lead investigator in the Trenton case (since retired and now working for Tim Miller's Equesearch) helped Monte Griffin nab a drug trafficker while Monte was with Wildwood and Rich was a k-9 officer with Leesburg. (All from old newspaper articles)
Melinda was investigating the James Duckett case because she felt he was innocent. She was supposed to meet with James at the jail the Sunday Trenton went missing. That was changed to Sept 3, 2006. (His letter is posted on the blog).
One other police chief involved with the "baker act" was Chief Joyce Tamara Wells. Her son Jason holds a record and is currently in jail. It was curious to me that according to public records, Chief Wells refinanced her house and borrowed $20,000, most likely for bond/attorney money for her son. I always thought it was curious though that the papers were signed Sept. 8, 2006 - the day Melinda died.
MTP- I am sitting here slack jawed reading your response!!!! I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!! With all of the evidence you have put forth, supported by public records, and there is NOT A SINGLE investigative journalist, police officer, private detective willing to crack this story wide open. This law enforcement angle is just...in a word...incredible. What would be the reason they would approach Melinda's aunt and ask her not to sue?? Don't they they know she may tell of the curious visit? These individuals must be pretty shaken up if they are scoping out your house. HMMM. Sounds very dangerous though.
On a lighter note for a moment, I see you are in Ocala! I may be all the way in NY but my Grandma-in-law is a recent transplant to Ocala from Port Charlotte =)

The difference being this time, that the Ducketts know that a lot of people are watching their every move....the Police Dept have to know their actions will be watched as well!
It makes it a lot harder for them to pull the same old same old....although (obviously) they are not above trying...
It tore my heart out to read Melinda's tribute to her grandmother because Nancy IS all the things Melinda said she was, in her poem...My heartache was then made even more poignant by that beautiful picture of Nancy and Trenton.May it be God's will to unite Nancy and Trenton before the trial in July! Great work, as usual, Maytruthprevail, and because you have done such great work do I believe that the Lord IS going to make sure that, in this case, His Truth will prevail!
