Hi James,

 

Having not gone to the post office during November, I just picked up your letter over the weekend. Glad you’re writing again as I could use your help as well.
 
I called station 51 Fox News and I could NOT even find the interview on the internet. They didn’t confirm as to which night the interview was aired, or even if there was a new interview at all.  Your letter was dated November 7^th and Tuesday would have been the 6^th which was election night coverage. But bottom line when I called the news office they told me I would need a subpoena for ANY transcript of their news shows. So we are out of luck.

 There was a mention of an interview of Josh on a forum in the first few days of November. But again, no link to the item.  My guess is that it was a clip from a previous interview. The only police officer from Leesburg that would have been making a comment would be Brian Cash.

 

 

There has been a lot going on in Bushnell.  As you know, Carla was super mad at you about the card you mailed her and she returned to you with “Go to hell and give this to your friend Liz Lennon”. Well she is going to be mad again but at a different ex-husband, but too bad.  I am meeting up with and have been talking to her third husband Kevin Massero. (They are NOT divorced). He left in December 2005 because he was on drugs, but Carla was trying to get him out of the house because she had Jason Fort waiting in the wings.  Just like she had Brian Lee Boggs waiting in the wings.

 We all know that Carla Massero and Josh Duckett lie. In fact, they lie all the time almost to the point of being pathological liars.  At the least, they are habitual liars, and here’s why.

Kevin Massero told me that he was present when Carla and Josh had then police chief Joyce Wells (Bushnell police department was disbanded due to many improprieties in April 2012) come to their house on Friday night with Josh putting his cell phone on speaker phone calling and calling Melinda. They had their court case coming up on Monday and they wanted to get Melinda baker acted so she couldn’t attend and they would get full custody of Trenton.  When Melinda was not saying anything they could use against her, they left together and went to the Bushnell Police Station still trying to bait Melinda. When she finally said “I want to end this” they used  those words to baker act her pretending she wanted to end her life and Trenton’s. It was a set up just like I said and Melinda’s grandparents said, confirmed by Kevin Massero an eye witness and married to Carla.

 Now we have history repeating itself. Only the victims have changed.

 
The new victims are Josh’s other son Ryder and Ryder’s mother Stephani.  Josh and Carla prevented Stephani from seeing her own son Ryder even though she is the court named custodial parent with 50% time sharing. They didn’t even allow her to talk to Ryder on the phone (he just turned 5 November 18 2012}.  When Josh married Debi Doster March 3, 2012, they all lived with Carla and Jason Fort along with Debi’s daughter Courtney and Ryder. But Carla took care of Ryder all the time.

 When Josh and Debi moved into their own home in Inverness in July they did not keep Ryder at all.  As I wrote to you before, I helped Stephani file an emergency pick up order and now the case is open since the end of June. During the last 5 months, Josh and Carla have been causing a lot of grief for Stephani.

 1)      They have been bad mouthing her all over town.

2)      They have called the police numerous times

3)      They have called DCF (dept. of children and families) 3 times accusing Stephani of

1.       Being on drugs (meth)

2.       Being a stripper in a club and prostitute

3.       Holding a knife to Ryder’s throat

 

They changed the daycare where Ryder was enrolled to a different one without telling Stephani because the previous daycare favored Stephani.  At the second childcare facility Debi changed all the pertinent information and emergency contacts. Debi crossed out Stephani’s name as mother and wrote in her own name. Debi crossed out Stephani’s father as the contact and wrote in Jason Forts name as grandfather. The daycare gave the papers to Stephani to bring to court with her. The judge was livid.

The judge was also livid about Josh calling DCF on Stephani 3 times, all unfounded.

 I called DCF and reported that Josh and Carla had made numerous false allegations against Melinda Duckett, all to get Trenton away from her, just like they are doing to Stephani.

 Since Josh moved, Ryder has NOT stayed with him. He goes to Carla’s during the 50% times. When the judge asked Josh about it, he stated that it’s because his mother Carla loves Ryder so much. The judge ordered that Ryder be with Josh and Debi during their time with him and NOT with Carla. She also ordered Josh to retake the parenting class and this time WITH Stephani like he was ordered to in July.

 Josh has been writing Stephani notes on his phone (texting) saying that he wants to get with her sexually. He sends her pictures of his boxer shorts and says she really wants it.  He grabbed her ass when they were alone during a child exchange and a neighbor came over and asked what was going on. And Josh has been married now for 8 months. I guess the “honeymoon” is over.

 Kevin has told me that Carla has many issues. And that she is a screaming bitch behind closed doors. Carla is very controlling and if things don’t go her way, look out.

 I have hooked up with (redacted) and we are gathering information to STOP Carla and Josh. I have ordered public records from Sumter County Court and the Sheriff’s department. I have interviewed the owner of the building where Carla had her flower shop in Bushnell. Carla owed her a ton of money when she closed her shop. The owners also looked behind the flower shop for Trenton’s body when he went missing. That should say something right there.

 Kevin Massero moved in with Carla (he met her in a bar) when Josh was 4 years old. He bought the mobile home that is on Carla’s property. He provided for them when they were growing up.

When Kevin told Carla that he was on cocaine, and he left, Justin disowned him and has not talked to him since 2006. (Kevin married Carla when Josh turned 18 but lived with her since Josh was 4 years old).

 I would still like to get those copies of the letters Melinda wrote to you; it’s nice to hear her own words.

Let me know, once again how I can get those copies. I never got the form from you for sending money orders so you can make copies.  You could mail them to me one at a time and I would make a copy and send it back, you have my word on that.

 One thing that Kevin was adamant about:  Do NOT allow Carla to get a hold of Ryder.

The Ultimate Set Up? - Melinda Duckett's Suicide

Here are two pictures showing the actual crime s cene photos of the closet obtained from the public records of  the Lady Lake Police which I have lovingly doctored for the family's sake.

September 8 marks 6 years that Melinda Duckett was found in her bedroom closet by her grandmother. Everyone believed that Melinda killed herself...everyone, except those that knew the truth.

I really want everyone to know that at no time, did any of us involved and mostly Josh and especially Carla, ever hated Melinda. Honestly, it was obvious very soon after Josh and Melinda started dating that she was troubled. Josh loved and wanted to help her and Carla tried her best to befriend her, but it was not to be. The moment we knew that she killed herself, which was just about 5 min. after it happened, we cried. No one, ever wanted that to happen although we knew when NG pressured her that she would feel backed into a corner and when that happened...she was capable of almost anything. I hope she has some peace now because she was not at peace while alive. She was conflicted and was unable to reason out in her mind why she felt like she did. I am heading out soon to the command center opening. I hope I can meet some of you there. If you are comfortable, please let me know who you are, but I promise to respect your animinity.

Can you see through what Laurie Konnerth is alluding to?  Laurie is the one who set things up with Nancy Grace. Laurie used Nancy Grace to accomplish the idea that Melinda was so distraught about being in the public eye that she killed herself.  I believe Melinda had a little help that fateful day. I believe she grabbed her grandfather's gun to protect herself, not kill herself.

Also, I didn't mean to be rude the other night when I didn't answer this..... without looking back and reading, I know someone asked me about the porno thing. The answer to that is yes, I do know all about it. I actually provided that information (print out of site with photo) to the FDLE at the end of August. I swear....the investigator practically skipped into the PD he was so happy to get it. At that time they were finding out more and more about Melinda and were still amazed with her multi-faceted abilities!! Also, just about everything that you see on NG, is info that I have given her... so with that in mind, she hasn't had a chance to do anything on the porn yet, so I would like to wait until this evening to see if she is able to get it into the show tonight. Don't want to upstage her, she has been so good to us! Also, I have not given any of the porn stuff to the local media ---although I was tempted at times!!

But then if she had mentioned that piece of information it would have ruined the picture she was painting of Melinda Duckett...the troubled crazy person who invaded Josh Duckett's life. The person who was fingered as the only suspect in the abduction of Trenton. This expose to the police (and even Nancy Grace) was all behind Melinda's back.  You can see this in the Myspace post Melinda wrote to her friend (not boyfriend) Chen.

Here is the post from Melinda on her myspace that she made to the media which I have taken from the public records sent to me from FDLE dated September 6, 2006:

There is a lot of "fight" in this message to the media.  How does one person go from taking on the world on one day and then to giving up completely two days later ? 

On September 5, 2006 Leesburg Police did a trash pull behind Melinda's apartment. They never  contacted her about what they "found". If they had,  Melinda would have been furious to find out that things she meticulously packed to retrieve at a later date, were "found" in the trash including a suitcase full of momentoes she took from her nightstand and carefully wrapped to protect them from breakage. Why would she wrap and pack everything to throw in a dumpster?

Do you recognize the items above that were displayed on Melinda's nightstand next to her bed? Doesn't it seem odd to you that these items were "found in the dumpster"?

There are so many questions about how Melinda died that remain unanswered.

There were TWO shots fired from the 50 year old shotgun that was taken out of Billy Eubank's bedroom closet. The magazine taken from the top night stand drawer next to Billy's bed was jammed in backwards and no shell could have been fired. There was a fork found on the floor next to the bed which could have been used to try to unjam the magazine from the shotgun.

 Not being able to unjam the gun, shells had to be taken from the box in the bottom drawer of the nightstand. So here's the questions:

1. Why were only two shells taken?
2. Why didn't Melinda take the whole box with her into the closet?
3. Why would she take two shells - thinking that she would miss? Or need a practice shot?

And questions about the "suicide":

1. Why was there NO gunshot residue on  Melinda's hands or feet?
2. Why were there NO fingerprints on the shotgun?

And then there's conflicting evidence concerning her handwritten notes:

1. Why were they NOT dated?
2. Why were they NOT signed?
3. Why were they in the open on her center console of her car?

And questions about using the 50 year old shotgun:

1. If Melinda was going to kill herself using a shotgun, why didn't she use the brand new shotgun that was loaded and found on the floorboard of her car?
2. Why did she grab in a hurry the one in her grandfather's  closet, leave the case in view on top of the king size bed, when that gun had not been fired in over 20 years?
3. If she walked out to her car to place the "suicide notes" on the center console and load her new shotgun and place that gun that was in her trunk onto the floorboard of her car, why not just take that gun into the house? (She could have in the dark during the night).

And my raise a flag question:

WHY DID MELINDA WRITE A NOTE TO HER GRANDPARENTS WHICH SHE PLACED ON THE KITCHEN  COUNTER THAT STATED SHE WAS LAYING DOWN FOR A QUICK NAP AND WOULD EAT WHEN SHE GOT UP?

And my final question:  Who gained the most by having Melinda Duckett dead by suicide?

When Josh first started all of this he hired a Mary Hatcher. Cost Carla $8,000 and did nothing. That is one of the reasons why... when Josh said he was going to go back to Melinda, that Carla slapped him. She had been trough so much and was broke. Kevin broke her, Josh broke her and she was struggling to keep the flower shop opened. I know this because I lent her a large sum of money to help. So, when there time to have an attorney represent him again, Josh just thought he could do it on his own. I would go with him, but I wasn't allowed to speak... only sit there and he was pretty stubborn ... being young and thinking he could handle it.. he didn't always listen to my advise. ....

So WHY did Carla close that flower shop?

Actually.. to tell the whole story, my daughter and I staked out the apartment where Trenton went missing from for several hours one night waiting for them to come home... I just wanted to see Josh & Trent so I knew they were okay, but they never showed. That's when I called Nancy. And yes, it has been hard for me, but not near as hard as it is for Carla! I feel so bad for her. But she is strong and is hanging in there, just like Josh.

All the way to the police station that night, I kept saying to Danae, "What has she done now?" Each and everyone of us that night told LE that we definiately thought it was Melinda. No doubts at all. We just could not let that information out to the media etc. for everyone's protection.


And it always bothers me as to what role Laurie Konnerth has played in all this. I don't know if it is true or not, but someone emailed me that Carla Massero told them that Lauie Konnerth was having an affair with the lead detective of Leesburg Police = Rich Giles. Laurie's husband divorced her. I wonder if that had anything to do with the divorce?  Whether or not that information is true, some other law enforcement agency needs to look at this case.

Dear James,


Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. You mentioned in your letter that you would be writing me again over that same weekend so I have been waiting to receive your second letter. Since time has passed, I decided to write back to you, hoping that our letters won’t cross.


I realize that there is a lot to process in what I had written to you. Just as you have had time to process what happened to you these past twenty plus years, I have been researching this case since September 2006, for hours every day. While I find some answers, I keep finding more questions.


I would like to visit you and have called the prison. My understanding is that you have to send me the form, so I hope you will do that and I hope our conversation will be productive. I am only an hour’s drive from you, so it would be feasible.


I am in the process of going over hundreds of public records sent to me from different law enforcement agencies. It surprises me how much Carla and Josh go to the police over trivial matters. Someone brought it to my attention that Carla accused me of burglarizing her flower shop on Main Street in Leesburg. (Not the one she had in Bushnell and closed) I’ve never been to her shop. They also told me that Carla and “her boy toy” Jason Fort (Iris Tant Payne’s son) came to my house to scope it out. They also went to Melinda’s Aunt Cathy’s house in Virginia to ask her not to sue Nancy Grace.


I would be interested to look at Melinda’s letters to you. Also, to discuss what you all talked about concerning your case and the book The Truth Shall Set Him Free. She dog- eared the pages and mailed it to her dad in New York, but I haven’t seen her book.


And just to get everything straight in my mind, I’d like to know Carla’s relatives. Her dad is Carl Ray Roberts. He is married to Leola Irene Roberts but somehow I don’t think it’s her mother. There’s something strange there. She has a sister Susan Harrell now divorced and took her maiden name back (Roberts). She also has a brother Donnie whose son is Christopher Roberts. She married Brian Lee Boggs and divorced him. Then she lived with Kevin John Massero and did not marry him until Josh turned 18. She is still married to him but he has a cocaine addiction and lives with his parents in Ocala. Carla has been living with Jason Fort age approx. 28, since early 2006. Melinda also mentioned an Aunt Sharon Harrelson, but I am curious as to how she is really related to Carla and Josh.


I’d also like to hear your thoughts as to who could have committed the crime you are convicted of. It always boils down to who has the motive. The way the little girl was found in the water was too obvious. Someone wanted her found right away and have you blamed for the crime. I have some thoughts on this and we can discuss it at the time we meet.


Melinda had no motive to keep Trenton away from Josh and she would never hurt Trenton. She felt depressed because Trenton was, as she said, taken on “her watch”. Just like you felt guilt of changing the date of the visit, Melinda felt she was not a good mother because Trenton was taken and she didn’t/couldn’t stop it.


And like in your case, Melinda was set up. No doubt in my mind. Motive? Money and control/power.

Since Melinda Duckett had been corresponding with Josh Duckett's father James Aren Duckett (he had over two dozen letters from her), I decided to write James myself. Here is the first letter I wrote to him.

Dear Mr. Duckett,


I have become aware of your case through my research these past almost 4 years of searching for Trenton Duckett. I have also contacted your friend Jeanne Bragg and we have had some very interesting telephone conversations, although I have not spoken to her recently.

I have read her book “The Truth Shall Set Him Free”. Jeanne Bragg became your public voice to “present the other side”. I am a public voice as well. I am presenting the other side for Melinda Duckett. Like you, Melinda was set up. And like you, I believe she was set up by the same person…Carla.


I have the last letter you wrote to Melinda. She was to have visited with you that fateful Sunday when Trenton was taken from his bedroom. She wrote it down in her agenda and had arranged for a babysitter. When she was notified that your brother was coming that weekend, she crossed off “James” on Aug 27th and marked her agenda “James” for September 3rd, 2006. And then your last letter to her stated that you had made a mistake and hoped she would come after all.


Melinda believed you were innocent of your crime. I know how the press can misrepresent the truth. But sometimes, they are given this misinformation and do not bother to check it out. An excellent example of this is the Nancy Grace show, which has covered the missing Trenton case in 18 airings. However, they have portrayed Melinda as a monster, a crazy unfit mother. This is due to your son Joshua Duckett spewing lies about Melinda. One such lie was that Melinda was in videos of a not so nice nature. This was shown all over the internet. What was missing from this information however was the fact that Joshua Duckett himself appeared in this same video as the starring male role. It’s not about the video, it’s about the LIE about the video.


The other event was when Melinda was baker acted in hopes of portraying her as an unfit mother so Carla and Josh could gain custody of Trenton in April 2005 in order to avoid paying child support, and to receive child support from Melinda. Melinda’s grandparents spent over $16,000 defending Melinda and ultimately she was awarded sole custody of Trenton. Josh Duckett filed a sworn affidavit with the Sumter County Court that he lied when Melinda was baker acted, that she never threatened to harm Trenton nor herself and that he was ‘INDEED INFLUENCED BY HIS MOTHER CARLA”.


Another interesting fact is that Carla closed her flower shop, the Monday after Trenton went missing. This was a business she had as her only income for over 10 years, (besides the child support for Justin and Josh and whatever other government aid she got). Why would she close her only source of income? She even borrowed money from a family friend Laurie Konnerth to keep her business going not too much before that. This same Laurie became the Trenton Duckett Family Trust Fund sole signatory.


The police believed that there was damning evidence against Melinda at the abduction crime scene. They found what they called a sonogram in the trash, a picture of Trenton in Melinda’s uterus when she was a few weeks pregnant. However, they were wrong. It was NOT a sonogram at all, but they wanted the public to believe it was a sonogram. It was a photograph taken at the hospital of the monitor screen and it showed the forearm, hand and finger of a nurse pointing at the monitor screen. Melinda had ALL her sonograms in her meticulously kept baby book. I believe Carla had that picture and placed it in the trash (loose next to the dumpster) to implicate Melinda.


On July 3, 2006 Melinda received a threatening email from Josh’s myspace. On July 3, 2006 Carla signed for a subpoena served holding Josh in contempt of court for non payment of child support. It also included the divorce papers which asked for alimony until the child support was caught up. I believe Carla was slightly angry at this and had a friend of hers help her send the email to Melinda.


I also received a letter typed from “Joshua Duckett” however, the handwriting on the envelope was definitely not his, and was Carla’s handwriting.

Getting back to your case, I think it is quite coincidental that Carla had Brian Boggs, who was age 17, waiting in the wings when you were convicted. She also made the statement to Melinda’s grandparents that she was fed up with you and got even. I noticed that in the chapter of the book that was devoted to your thanking people in your life, Carla was not mentioned. I totally understand.


You have another grandson, his name is Ryder. The young mother Stephani was only 17 when Josh impregnated her. And Trenton was just missing 6 months at the time. Stephani lived with Josh and Carla for a time. She said that she could not live with Carla, that she was too controlling of her baby and slapped Stephani in the face. Stephani also said that Carla told her that Carl Ray Roberts was a pedophile. I believe Jeanne Bragg told me that Carla was abused as a child. Carla’s nephew Christopher Roberts was charged a couple years ago for the same thing but he was acquitted after the second trial.


Trenton is still missing, but I don’t think he will be found until the investigators start looking in another direction. They have only suspected Melinda thanks to the campaign to make her the prime suspect. Melinda was set up for the baker act. She was set up for the threatening email. Melinda was set up for the abduction of Trenton. Melinda was set up for the damning evidence in the trash (sonogram) and Melinda’s death was set up to look like a suicide.


Jeanne Bragg and I have something in common. Hers is “He’s innocent”. Mine is “She’s innocent”. It resonates within me. It is a cry for justice.


Please help me prove Melinda was set up. It may just be the answer you have been waiting for yourself.
