Vanished Episode 5 - Trenton Duckett Video

After watching this video, please note the discrepancies. The main one is that Melinda and Josh Duckett were fighting for complete custody. They were NOT fighting. Melinda had SOLE CUSTODY in May 2006. Josh had standard visitation.

The other interesting item is the appearance of Cierra Bacon on the show. She is the person who was sent the message from Josh's Fuckface myspace account minutes after the threatening myspace email was sent to Melinda. 

 Why haven't the investigators looked into this. It is very suspicious that a friend of Cierra Bacon was the "someone that knew both of them". Perhaps that person was Amanda Scott, the very same one who was the last comment on Josh's Fuckface Myspace and the one who commented on Josh's picture on June 18, 2006 "Always gota be flicking someone off".

Another interesting statement made on the show by Josh was his whereabouts the night that Trenton went missing... he was with friends in Tampa.  Also Carla Massero also stated that they were all asleep when the police came. Here is what Josh had to say from the Nancy Grace transcripts:

Welcome, Josh. Thank you for being with us. You just told us that you cooperated with police and they checked everything out, and they clarified and cleared where you were that night. Where were you?

JOSH DUCKETT, MISSING BOY`S FATHER: I was actually in Bushnell with some friends. And all of the friends that I have, they`ve got contact numbers, names of every person that I was with throughout the night. And then I was back home before 9:00 o`clock.

GRACE: When did you learn Trenton had been taken?

JOSH DUCKETT: Around 9:45 -- between 9:45 and 10:00.

GRACE: That evening?

JOSH DUCKETT: Yes. Sunday evening.

GRACE: Now, on a Sunday evening -- what did do you when you first learned he was gone?

JOSH DUCKETT: I immediately started asking questions, and the officer that notified me had no information to give me, so I got dressed and left straight from my house and went straight to the Leesburg Police Department.

GRACE: You got dressed. Why were you undressed?

JOSH DUCKETT: I was in bed. I mean, I was ready for bed.

GRACE: Where do you work?

JOSH DUCKETT: So...

GRACE: Where do you work?

JOSH DUCKETT: I work for Doneright (ph) Electric in Wildwood (ph).

GRACE: Do you get up early in the morning to go to work?

JOSH DUCKETT: Yes.

GRACE: What time do you get up in the morning?
JOSH DUCKETT: I normally leave my house by at the latest 6:00 o`clock."

The other thing that Josh said that just made me think of him as another Casey Anthony was when he stated that he watched Trenton 24 hours a day because Melinda worked away from the house.

Josh Duckett - When Trenton Was Missing Six Months

Tonight they aired "Vanished" with Beth Holloway as host featuring Josh Duckett talking about his missing son Trenton, who has been missing for almost 5 years.

What most people don't know?  During the same time frame that this interview was recorded, Josh was busy impregnating a 17 year old high school senior. You may read about it in this article

It was very disturbing to view the pictures of Melinda's suicide. I thought that was quite unnecessary for the show and very upsetting to Melinda's family. They have never seen these pictures. I would expect Beth Holloway to have had more empathy for the family and not showed those pictures.

Who Took Trenton Duckett? Part Two

Here is a picture of a Team Trenton supporter standing outside Trenton's bedroom window.

It was stated that it would be impossible to reach inside and pull Trenton out the window. This woman says she is 5'10 inches tall.

Rockefeller of the Leesburg Police Department stated that it was possible but not probable that Trenton could have been taken out the window in an interview:

Melinda knew who friggin took Trenton. She waved the restraining order in front of the "cops" in her apartment. While she was upset for having Trenton taken right out from under her nose, she was even more angry. She kicked things in her apartment. Her actions were misinterpreted by the investigating police. They thought this is NOT how a grieved mother acts. But, this child was NOT taken by a stranger. Melinda had been expecting this. She was warned. She tried to get $5,000 to prevent this from happening. She thought she could protect Trenton herself. She only trusted herself. She didn't want to leave him out of her sight. Taking Trenton was just another retaliation tactic by Carla. How dare Melinda take out a restraining order on her son Josh and Carla wanted to have Melinda arrested for "defamation of character".  Here is Deputy Lucas Brown of Sumter County Sheriff Office statement once again. I repost it for emphasis.



Lucas's last statement was that there were no indicators to him (remember he is a policeman) that Melidna Duckett would harm her son Trenton. It also states that Melinda believed that Trenton was taken by Jason Wayne Fort, Carla's live in boyfriend.

Jason Wayne Fort was born January 11, 1980. Carla's birthday is August 3, 1959. Jason rode dirt bikes with Josh, that's how Melinda met him. Jason's mother is Iris Tant Fort Payne. His father, was a fireman with the Bushnell Fire Department and died in 1989.  Iris was best friends with Carla Massero and was one of the persons listed on the temporary restraining order placed on Carla Massero by her son Josh Duckett for harrassment and "trying to take Trenton away from them".

When I requested public records for Jason Fort from FDLE, the only record they sent me was Lucas John Brown's statement containing Jason Fort's name. No interview.

I then requested records from Sumter County Sheriff Office and am waiting for the information. The FDLE recrods cost well over $600. The bill for Jason's records from Sumter is $2.70.  My guess is that Jason was not even interviewed by police about his whereabouts the night Trenton went missing.

Why would Melinda suspect Jason as the one who took Trenton. As Lucas Brown stated, she thought that Josh would not have the backbone to actually do it. And while the motive is retalliation by Carla Massero who sent her "gofer" guy to get her grandson, could Jason Fort be physically able to take Trenton out the window?

And Melinda Duckett stated in her interview that she, Chris Pearce and Danny Bass all heard a car door slam outside the apartment. Here is what Melinda said in her interview:

Who Took Trenton Duckett?

INTRODUCTION

Melinda Duckett thought she had finally won the battle. In February 2006 Melinda was granted child support in the amount of $403 per month. In May 2006, Melinda was granted sole custody of Trenton by DCF, with Josh having standard visitation. In June 2006, Melinda filed for divorce. That should have been the end of the nightmare of retalliation by Josh and his mother Carla Massero against Melinda.

But that was only the "eye of the storm".

This battle was a series of retalliation tactics by mostly Carla Massero and her spineless son Josh Duckett. In April 2005 Josh became "mad at Melinda" and left their Bushnell apartment. The next day, under direction of his mother, he made accusations against her to DCF. Melinda filed for  child support the middle of April 2005. Carla hired an attorney to  determine paternity, custody and child support (from Melinda). They accused Melinda of arsoning their porch on their flower shop. They accused Melinda of having sex with a Bushnell police officer for a favorable report about Trenton's care. They called Bushnell police chief and had her listen to a phone conversation in order to have Melinda baker acted so they could win custody of Trenton in court.  And this was just April. The months that followed continued with more harrassment.

During the summer, Josh and Melinda married in July, Carla Massero had her friends and husband Kevin constantly harass Melinda and Josh at the Leesburg apartment. Even to the point of having Laurie Konnerth and her teenage daughter Danae hide out near the apartment to spy on them. Laurie later said (as part of the campaign against Melinda's reputation) she wanted to make sure Josh and Trenton were "alive" as Melinda had knives and could murder them. Kevin, Josh's stepdad, threatened to beat up Josh outside his job at Pat's Sales in Leesburg.

During the fall, Josh and Melinda had continual arguments, mostly about Josh's lack of responsibility toward Trenton and Melinda. More accusations by Josh. DCF again involved. Trenton bounced around, foster care, the grandparents home.

During the Chirstmas holidays, Kevin Massero was arrested for cocaine. Carla kicked him out. Then she takes in her new "companion" 26 year old Jason Wayne Fort (who also has a criminal history).  All the DCF court hearings that ensued during 2006, Carla was accompanied by Jason Fort. Melinda told her grandparents that she knew Jason as someone who used to ride dirt bikes with Josh.

DAYS PRIOR TO THE ABDUCTION

August 12, 2 days after Trenton's birthday, Josh Duckett visited his father James Duckett, who is on Death Row in a Florida State Prison. They discussed the threatening myspace email sent to Melinda from Josh. James advised his son that email could add up to a lot of time in prison. The porn video was mentioned by Josh to his dad during that visit as well.

Why would Josh visit his dad whom he had only seen one other time (with Melinda) on that particular Saturday?  Wouldn't Josh have wanted to be on his bike, or with his friends? Why the 2 hour trip to Starke with his uncle?  And then to discuss the email and the porn?

And then, how/why would James Duckett get a message to Melinda to not come and visit him on the 27th of August (the day Trenton was abducted) then write her a letter stating how funny it was that he "got his dates mixed up".  I would think that a man in prison for 22 years would remember every single day.

The night of the 12th (early on the 13th Sunday) Melinda frantically called her friend Nicole Diaz and stated she needed thousands of dollars because she wanted to keep she and Trenton safe from Josh Duckett. Was Josh threatening to release the porn video of him and Melinda and wanted money? Was Josh threatening to take Trenton and Melinda would never see Trenton again? (At this time Josh had a restraining order against him and he could not see Trenton) Why did Melinda need the money in days. Was Melinda going to use the money to have thugs "talk some sense into Josh"? But then why would there be a time limit? Unless something was going to happen if Melinda did not comply?

Around this same time, Melinda called her grandfather to come to her apartment and put a secure lock on her sliding glass doors. Billy Eubank thinks she also changed the locks on her door. She asked Billy if anyone could come into her apartment through the attic ceiling panel. Billy told her there was a firewall and that would prevent anyone from entering. Melinda screwed the ceiling panel shut. Billy Eubank said that after Trenton went missing he realized that Melinda was scared to death. He also believes that Melinda had it on her mind to move out of that apartment. When he and Nancy arrived that night he was surprised to see so much of Melinda's furnishings gone. She told him that night through tears that it was "her job to protect Trenton". And now he was taken right under her nose.

THE ABDUCTION

During her frantic search for Trenton, then realizing he had been kidnapped, Melinda called police friends for help while Danny Bass was calling 911. This was when Melinda called her ex-boyfriend John "Lucas" Brown who was a deputy sheriff with Sumter County Sheriff's Department. She asked him the last name of Carla Massero's boyfriend because she was filling out the missing child report. He didn't know it at the time. But told her later. She wrote the name on the inside of an Orbit gum box.
